A "JANE EYRE" LOOK INSPIRED BY THE WONDERFUL CHARLOTTE BRONTE
Reader, I’ve chosen to do an all-silk look inspired by Jane Eyre, reflecting the idea that silk was traditionally worn only by the wealthy. Thanks to the Industrial Revolution, it’s now much more accessible, allowing many of us to enjoy silk and velvet without breaking the bank.
Silk has a rich appearance due to its soft texture, making me feel incredibly comfortable while strolling around town. The ivory silk button-up features cuffs that add a vintage touch, and I paired it with army green silk pants. While I opted for glossy ivory pumps, the pants can easily be dressed down with sneakers for a more casual vibe. To complete the Jane Eyre look, I added a sheer velvet scarf that perfectly complements the ivory button-up. This outfit is ideal for a teacher's day out or a lovely evening dinner date.
