The Story Behind the Bésame Collaboration

Some beauty moments are more than just aesthetic They’re storytelling tools.

In this collaboration with Bésame Cosmetics, I used the iconic Victory Red as a literary artifact. Its history as the official red lipstick of WWII women inspired me to connect it with the cunning, seductive world of Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

But it wasn’t just the lipstick. I completed the look using Bésame’s Master Black Eyeliner Pencil a soft, precise pencil that allowed me to define my eyes with vintage drama. The liner gave structure and intensity to my gaze, evoking the sharp, calculated presence of the Marquise de Merteuil herself.

This beauty shoot captured the tension between softness and strength, elegance and warfare:

  • Victory Red Lipstick became my modern-day armor.

  • Master Black Eyeliner carved out power in every blink—a subtle but striking form of storytelling.

  • The red polka dot skirt recalled 18th-century textile luxury.

  • The Bergère hat honored feminine fashion as political expression.

Together, these pieces became a mood board of history, literature, and legacy. Through every image and shade, I told the story of femininity that resists, performs, and reclaims.
